Open to the general public, the Lafayette Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a retail outlet offering building supplies and other household goods at greatly reduced prices.  All proceeds from the store contribute to the construction of new Habitat homes.  In addition to helping fund homebuilding, the ReStore provides an affordable source of materials for property owners on a tight budget and diverts many tons of usable goods from local landfills.

In its first year of operation, the Lafayette ReStore had over 7,000 customers and raised $65,000 (which coincidentally is what it cost to build a Habitat for Humanity home).  The ReStore will celebrate its third anniversary at the end of August.

We have many home improvement items from furniture, lighting fixtures, and appliances, to construction materials to assist you in your remodel!  The ReStore receives new items daily, so make sure to come often!

Donate:
The ReStore needs your donations of almost any items you take out of your home.  We accept doors, windows, cabinets (kitchen or other), tile, paint, tools, countertops, wallpaper, roofing supplies, working appliances (must be 10 years old or less) and more.  Almost any building or remodeling material that is in good shape can be recycled through the ReStore, saving you dumping costs and providing a tax deduction as well. Equally important, your donations will go back into the community to help people who are upgrading their homes.  The ReStore resells your new or used items (as well as corporate donations) for 50% to 70% off retail prices.  The ReStore is happy to provide donation pickup services when scheduled in advance.  Please contact our ReStore manager for more information at (337)371- 6030.

Volunteer:
Our ReStore is always in need of volunteers!  Volunteers are needed to pick up donations, stock shelves, set up displays, and assist customers during business hours.  If you would like to volunteer at the ReStore, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator by e-mail or phone at 337-261-5041.
